So Last Minute: it's too late?
Sunday, January 11, 2009 @ 6:34 PM

Ooh. First day back at GDPT today. This post is about the oh so awesome CHANH PHAP!

.............

So, next week is CP's birthday. That means continuous last minute practice for us CP peeps. We are usually very last minute people. Last year, we learnt a hip-hop dance a week before the performance in 5 hours. That's right, 5 hours. I probably smelt pretty bad. Full sweat and practised with no shoes, outside and at Davey's house. That's right, DAVEY'S HOUSE!! That dude stunk up the bus with his socks, imagine walking around his house (jokes, Davey, jokes).

Guess what? Same thing is happening again! Thao, Wendy, Beatrice, Tu and I are meeting up tomorrow to do our hours of last minute practice. Except it's my house this time.

It's too late to apologize, it's too late

Are our lives full of last minute things? Decisions. Homework. Practices. What if we were to regret what could possibly happen if we were just that little bit faster at making these decisions, doing that homework or starting our practices? It could possible make a difference.

Life is quite unpredictable. All sorts of things come our way that are unexpected. But, there are things that are under control or are reasonably warned beforehand, such as the due date for homework and when the act needs to be performed.

It is up to us to be organised and prepared for these things. Unfortunately, there can be barriers, or those who slack off. Maybe what we really need to be prepared for, are these barriers that prevent us from completing our tasks.

It's hard for someone to do everything right. It is difficult to get everything done within the time constraint. It is near impossible to control busy schedules. All that we could possibly do, is try. We need to try to reach that goal and standard, no matter what may be up against us, even time itself.

Within our performance for next Sunday is a parody of a song...

It's too late to sinh hoat* now

Someone was maybe unorganised, possibly had an accident, woke up late or some other personal reason. No matter what, they came late. However, isn't it possible to sympathise with someone? We should be able to judge the situation. It may be a bit subjective, but atleast there is hope. Perhaps, there is also a chance for that person to learn from their mistake. The outcome is unknown.

The big question is still is it always...

too late?

* sinh hoat: in viet, this roughly means participate in GDPT

As I burn another page. As I look the other way. I still try to find my place in the diary of... I'm longing, for words to describe how I'm feeling. All your twisted thoughts free flow to everlasting memories. The whispers turn to shouting. The shouting turns to tears. Your tears turn into laughter. And it takes away our fears.
